Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions video game review - Entertainment - Video Games

Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

My Rating 8/10 This game did end up giving me smile at the end of first time I put the game in my Xbox 360. It was a nice and needed change from the sandbox Spider-Man games that I've played and bought over the last few years. This game is a nice breath of fresh air, to see the idea of the game go in another direction other than to just throw Spidey in the streets of NYC with boring missions. The graphics for this game, are very eye catching! Each version or level of the difference Spider-Man universes have their own personal touches. In my opinion 2099 is the most titillating for me. The mirrored glossy colors on everything reminds me of the 2099 comic books. Shattered Dimensions is a beat em' up fighting type game. A game that you will go from point A to point B, this game brings the player the best of each of the Spider-Man universe. The game controls are simple to use and master just like any other games of this kind. Mush the punch button, mush kick and jump. Web swinging is fun, the developers added in a few extra web weapons. This makes the game even better. The game levels, music and sound effects keep you interested in the game. The levels are repetitive like all other games, fighting the same six bad guys. The music is cool, depending on the level. A little old style, some newer tempos, overall a good soundtrack. My advice on this one, is rent it before you buy it. Although it does have cool action, great graphics, it ends up just being another Spider-Man game. Fun to play for a few weeks, but now sits on my shelf collecting dust with the rest of my games. It's not worth the $60 price tag.
