Battlefield Bad Company 2: Review
Every year, many first person shooter video games make their way to living rooms for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC. They are all very different as they can be arcade, sci-fi, or tactical. Many of these games fail in terms of reviews and sales, and only a few stand-out on top. If there is one military, tactical shooter that stands out, it is Battlefield: Bad Company 2...
Battlefield: Bad Company 2 can be found on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and the PC and is one of the best shooting games this year. This game does just about everything right and there are only a few flaws with it.
When you first pop in Bad Company 2, you will probably try out the single player. In the single player campaign, you play as a soldier in the Bad Company unit and your job is to get intel and stop pieces of a weapon from reaching a deadly terrorist. Overall, the story is a bit bland, but the gameplay is magnificent. You will be using a wide variety of weapons all across the world to take out enemies. There will be missions where you need to be stealthy and missions where you need to go all out and shoot everything you see. There is a wide variety of weapons that you can unlock in the single player mode and you will make use of them throughout the campaign.
Bad Company 2 also excels at its online gameplay. The online multiplayer of Bad Company 2 is very competitive and you will be battling it out against many players across the world. In the multiplayer mode, you move up in the ranks as you perform better and you can unlock more and more weapons and accessories to use. The big downside about Bad Company 2's multiplayer is it has downloadable content that you pay for. The new maps and modes that you download are not free and can cost a couple bucks. This is a bummer since you already pay good money just to get the game. In addition, the game does not have any sort of lobby system on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. However, these features do not take away from the gameplay and the game is still a lot of fun to play.
Overall, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is a great game and is highly recommended. You will have a great time playing this game both online and offline. You should go out and purchase this game if you enjoy first person shooters.
